Visual testing can be used to find visible abnormalities, such as surface defects, sizing abnormalities, internal abnormalities (borescope) and\/or corrosion.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><div class=\"show_more\"><p class=\"wpsm-show\" style=\"color: #00afca; font-size: 100%; text-align: center;\"> Show more information<\/p><div class=\"wpsm-content\"><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>General<\/h3>\n<p>Before starting the test, the surface must be cleaned: grease, dirt and welding spatter should be removed.<\/p>\n<p>Visual testing can be done at various distances relative to the object. If we look at the object from a greater distance, we speak of a general impression (review) and this gives a different result from a detailed study at a distance of less than 60 cm. In addition, there is the possibility to perform internal testing with a borescope.<\/p>\n<p>For the visual assessment of constructions, components, parts and welding connections, various tools can be used, such as measuring tools, magnifiers, weld gauge and\/or additional lighting.<\/p>\n<p>If the operator has detailed knowledge of the object, knows the manufacturing process and\/or is familiar with the conditions of use, this will have a positive effect on the visual test.<\/p>\n<h3>Scope\/Products\/Sectors<\/h3>\n<p>Surface testing of objects made of all possible materials.<\/p>\n<p>When visually testing objects, we mainly search for the following deviations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>General corrosion and well corrosion (pitting)<\/li>\n<li>Welding defects and\/or weld geometry<\/li>\n<li>Geometry and\/or dimensions of object<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Testing has a large application area, but is often applied to the following products:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Semi-finished products, such as staff and plate material, profiles and tubes;<\/li>\n<li>Casting or forgings, such as pump housings, gears and bolts;<\/li>\n<li>Lifting equipment;<\/li>\n<li>Piping, fittings and\/or welding in the petrochemical and\/or food industry;<\/li>\n<li>Welding in construction and shipbuilding;<\/li>\n<li>Highly strained aircraft components, such as turbine blades, by means of borescope research;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em> <p class=\"wpsm-hide\" style=\"color: #00afca; font-size: 100%; text-align: center;\"> Hide information<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h1>The training:<\/h1>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The training courses are provided at different levels. The content of these courses will therefore vary. In addition, the training gives a detailed insight into the research, this is supporting information for each work planner, QC\/QA &amp; quality manager.<\/p>\n<p>The following components are recommended for course participants:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A VMBO\/MBO-3 prior education or similar.<\/li>\n<li>Interested in engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Technical English, to be able to read standards, specifications &amp; procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Structure<\/h3>\n<p>The training includes both a theoretical and a practical part. The training time will be divided 50\/50 between the theoretical and practical part. During the training, under the supervision of experienced NDT specialists, the student will lay a foundation for future work.<\/p>\n<h3>The objectives<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Familiarity with the basic principles and technical background of visual testing.<\/li>\n<li>Be able to do visual testing using simple tools (direct\/DVI) and more advanced tools such as the borescope (Indirect\/RVI).<\/li>\n<li>In addition, the interpretation and reporting of test results will be central.<\/li>\n<li>Be able to draft a thorough work instruction in order to direct a level 1 operator.<\/li>\n<li>Reading and interpreting procedures and\/or specifications (mainly in English).<\/li>\n<li>Assess whether the identified indications meet the acceptance criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Drafting of test reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Content of the training<\/h3>\n<p>Basic knowledge of the NDO methods | Material defects (Defectology) and associated manufacturing techniques | The certification process\/system | Physical principle of light | Functioning of the human eye | Perception and interpretation | Factors affecting visual testing | Equipment and Tools | Interpretation of obtained test results | Process and quality controls | Safety, environment and health<\/p>\n<h3>Practical information<\/h3>\n<p><em>Training duration ISO 9712:<\/em><br \/>\nFull Training (VT2): 7 days including exam, certification process via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hobeon.nl\/certificering\/personen\/niet_destructief_onderzoekers#acc7\/51\">Hob\u00e9on SKNDO<\/a>.<br \/>\nVisual testing of welds (VT2-W): 7 days including exam, certification process via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hobeon.nl\/certificering\/personen\/niet_destructief_onderzoekers#acc7\/51\">Hob\u00e9on SKNDO<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Training duration SNT-TC-1A:<\/em><br \/>\n7 days including exam, exam report only. Final certification will have to be done by the company through its own Written Practice.<\/p>\n<p><em>Exams:<\/em><br \/>\nThe training meets and can be completed with an exam(-s) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9712 or according to the requirements of the Written Practice of the own company (SNT-TC-1A). The exam consists of a theoretical (general and specific) part and a practical part. Both the training and the exam(-s) are tailored to the relevant industrial sectors (e.g.: Testing before and during use (including manufacturing), aviation or railway maintenance.)<\/p>\n<h3><em>Costs (Excluding VAT):<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>In order to be able to provide you as well as possible, we believe that a suitable quotation is desirable. The training time will be divided 80\/20 between the theoretical and practical part.
